About The Program
ShepUp Homeschool P.E. is designed to help kids in grades K–6 move better, get stronger, build confidence, and have fun being active. Through games, challenges, obstacle courses, fitness activities, and sports, kids develop important physical skills like coordination, balance, speed, strength, agility, and body control.
Each 5-week unit introduces a new theme and builds on skills learned throughout the year. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and adaptable, allowing younger children to learn the fundamentals while giving older kids new challenges that keep them engaged.
Most importantly, our goal is to create an environment where kids can stay active, make friends, challenge themselves, and discover that fitness can be FUN.
PE Units
Fall Semester
Unit 1: Move Like An Athlete
Uint 2: Ninja Training
Unit 3: Speed Games & Challenges
Every great athlete starts with learning how to move well! Through movement games, challenges, and drills, kids will develop balance, coordination, body control, and spatial awareness. This unit creates a strong foundation while building confidence and preparing kids for the more advanced challenges ahead. Dates: Sept 8, 15, 22, 29, & October 6
It’s time to put those movement skills to the test! Kids will crawl, jump, balance, dodge, climb, and maneuver through obstacle courses and ninja-inspired challenges. This unit develops agility, reaction time, coordination, and problem-solving while giving kids new challenges to conquer each week. Dates: October 13, 20, 27, November 3, & 10
Ready, set, GO! Kids will work on speed, quickness, acceleration, and endurance through relay races, tag games, reaction challenges, and friendly competitions. Spring Semester
Unit 4: Strong Bodies
Unit 5: Game On!
Unit 6: P.E. Olympics & Team Challenge
Strong bodies help kids run, jump, play, and move with confidence. Through age-appropriate bodyweight exercises, partner activities, circuits, and fitness challenges, kids will build strength, power, core stability, and muscular endurance, all while learning that getting stronger can be fun! Dates: Jan. 12, 19, 26 Feb. 9, 16
It’s game time! Kids will develop fundamental sports skills like throwing, catching, kicking, dribbling, striking, and tracking a ball through a variety of games and activities. The ultimate end-of-year challenge! Kids will put everything they’ve learned to the test through relays, obstacle courses, fitness challenges, sports competitions, and team games.
